The People’s Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party is the leading opposition party in Turkey and the third largest party in Turkey’s parliament. The DEM Party stands for an inclusive society based on principles like women’s freedom, democracy, diversity, protection of the environment and works for a democratic and peaceful resolution to the Kurdish question. 

Our representation in Brussels exists to ensure that the millions of citizens of Turkey who support democracy and peace have a voice in Europe.

In a break from traditional diplomatic engagements, we aim to cultivate relations with governments, societies and civic organisations, based more on a sincere dedication to social justice, peace in Kurdistan, Turkey and the wider Middle East, and the democratic development of the Republic of Turkey.
